Miss Gwen, c'est qui ?
I’m Gwen — a dynamic and fun-loving French host — and I specialise in personalised French immersion stays for adults in the South of France.
After teaching English to teenagers for 20 years in France and abroad, I decided to dedicate myself fully to what I truly love: helping adults learn French through real-life, full immersion experiences.
Today, I welcome French lovers from around the world who want to improve their French quickly while enjoying authentic French immersion vacations.
My husband, my son, and I live in a picturesque village near Nîmes (Le Gard, 30), in an 18th-century stone-walled house with stunning views over vineyards and mountains. We adore our home, our region, and our friendly neighbors — and we feel lucky to share this unique environment with our guests.
As a family, we love meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and sharing lively conversations, traditions, and of course… French cuisine.
During your immersion stay, you will speak French every day, have one-on-one lessons, explore our beautiful region, and experience French culture from the inside all while keeping the comfort and independence of your own private accommodation

From shopping in local markets to chatting with my family, friends or neighbors, wine-tasting or cooking, every moment is crafted to make you feel like a true local. I will guide you through a unique experience filled with discovery and lively French discussions.
Every meal we share and excursion will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic conversations with me and locals we meet along the way. But if you ever feel overwhelmed or tired, we can switch to English. And if your partner or friend is not willing to learn French, we can all share conversations in English, my husband and son both speak a fairly good English too !

My immersion program is all about improving your listening and speaking skills in a fun and interactive way. Throughout the week, you’ll take part in what I call cultural workshops rather than French classes. These sessions spark natural conversations and help you feel more confident when speaking. Using videos clips from movies or documentaries, and games, I will help you learn more about French culture while developing your ability to understand native French speakers. You will also leave with useful tips and a method to improve your listening skill back home !
In total, you will have 12 hours of guided practice (out of a minimum of 35 hours of French practice), designed not only to boost your French but also to get you used to the rhythm of real, modern spoken French.
With beginners, I follow a more structured approach based on practical, themed lessons (such as ordering at a restaurant, shopping at the market, or talking about yourself) so you can quickly build essential conversation skills and feel comfortable using French in real-life situations.
